Feel better the natural way!
Our goal is to help you achieve optimal health in both mind and body by taking a holistic approach to preventing and reversing disease. Acupuncture works by inserting hair thin, flexible needles at specific points to balance the body’s Qi or life force. Acupuncture is one of the oldest, most commonly used forms of medicine in the world. Originating in China over 2500 years ago, acupuncture is currently one of the most thoroughly researched, practiced, and respected forms of complementary medicine available anywhere.
Chinese herbal medicine is often used in conjunction with acupuncture for added therapeutic benefits. This ancient medicine evolved over thousands of years into a comprehensive and complex system. There are thousands of herbs in the Materia Medica of which about 300 are commonly used and around 400 are patented formulas. We proudly use Golden Flower traditional formulas in tablet form and KPC fully customizable teas to aid your healing journey.
Keisha McDaniel, L.Ac, MAOM, is board certified and licensed in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. She earned her Master’s degree from AOMA Graduate School of Integrative Medicine in Austin, TX. Keisha furthered her education at Chengdu University of TCM in Chengdu, China.
It is important to understand that not all acupuncturists are the same. To become State Licensed, Chinese medicine practitioners are required to have 3000 educational hours and 1000 clinical hours to graduate from an accredited graduate school as well as pass 4 rigorous board exams to become Board Certified. Some States (including Missouri) allow Chiropractors and some Physical Therapists (dry needling) to practice acupuncture with as little as 250 educational hours and NO clinical hours.
